“You can’t rush into the first deal that somebody offers you. As much as you feel like you need to or whatever emergency it is financially, you can’t compromise. It might work for you at the time, but you might regret it later. People have a hard time thinking of themselves as successful and [end up] limiting what their future can do if they sign to somebody exclusively or make the wrong decisions in a contract. My advice is, look before you leap.” These words came from Scott Storch, the famous record producer. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Storch was an early member of The Roots. He was the man responsible for Dr. Dre’s comeback record, jumpstarting his popularity. After that project, Storch worked with Xzibit (the “X” lead single on the Resltess album back at 2001), Snoop Dogg (3 tracks on The Last Meal album), Beyonce (“Dangerously In Love”), 50 Cent (“Get Rich or Die Tryin’” and The Massacre), and Christina Aguilera (Stripped). Among his list of clients are Paris Hilton, Mario, R. Kelly, Mya, and Chamillionaire.
Now that his bank account’s reportedly around $70 million, it should come as no surprise that Storch’s car collection is as extravagant as his wardrobe and accessories. His car collection includes four Rolls-Royce Phantoms, one Rolls-Royce drop head coupe, a Bentley Azure, Bentley Continental GT, 1973 Jaguar XKE, Aston Martin Vanquish S, Maybach 62, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Ferrari Superamerica, Lamborghini Murcielago roadster, and finally a Bugatti Veyron 16.4. His taste in cars definitely holds no compromises, as it seems he wants nothing but the best.
He also owns a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. This car model is the successor of the 456M and is named after the well-known coachbuilder of Ferrari, Sergio Scaglietti. Its engine is the 5748 cc, 12-cylinder, 48-valve, 65°V and has 434 lb-ft of torque at 5,250 rpm. It can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds, reaching 196 mph as its top speed. Large and spacious, this Ferrari has no problem zipping past.
