Cameron Diaz Going Green

Cameron Diaz is not only a good actress, she is now taking a part in saving our environment by driving a Toyota Prius. This “angel” is often using her Prius than her Porsche 911 Carrera and Mercedes SL to get around Los Angeles. The Toyota Prius is a hybrid car which can be switched between a conventional petrol engine and an electrical engine. It can either run on just the engine, just the batteries, or a combination of both. This Green Car has very good performance because the battery/electric motor booster automatically provides more than enough extra power for acceleration and hill climbing.

The Prius initially attracted buyers interested in the vehicle’s low particulate emissions, advanced technology, and high fuel economy. In 2006, the demand for the Prius broadened for several reasons: the rising price of gasoline made the vehicle’s fuel economy more attractive. It also has a more efficient use of the internal combustion engine (ICE), reducing gasoline/petrol consumption.

The Prius is said to be set for a redesign for the 2009 model with a number of upgrades. The upcoming Prius will have an upgrade of the petrol (gasoline) engine from 1.5 litres to 1.8 litres. It will have an improved mileage and acceleration.
